A home for the holidays Movie.

After a car crash claims the lives of John and Susan Mc Murrin, their sister Martha steps in to care for their three children, Sam, Amy, and Michael. Paige Holloway, a new case officer with Children's Services, is assigned to the case and supports Martha through the challenging process of gaining legal guardianship.

The video portrays Martha's struggles to provide a stable home for the children while facing financial difficulties and bureaucratic obstacles. The children are grieving, and young Michael is completely withdrawn. The community offers support, but Martha faces an uphill battle as the bank forecloses on the family farm to make way for power lines under eminent domain. Jonathan, a childhood friend and bank representative, is unsympathetic.

Jack Cooper, an old friend of Martha's and a lawyer, returns to town and offers pro bono legal assistance. Despite the challenges, Martha is determined to keep the children together, but faces scrutiny from her supervisor, Carol Parker, who questions her suitability as a guardian and schedules psychiatric evaluation for Michael.

As the deadline for finding suitable housing approaches, Martha faces the possibility of losing custody of the children, who could then be placed in separate foster homes. With the help of the community, Martha decides to move the house. However, their initial plans are thwarted by power lines that block the route. In a heartwarming turn of events, the community bands together to move the house to Jack's mother's farm.

Despite this victory, Miss Parker declares the house uninhabitable due to the lack of basic utilities. Facing the imminent removal of the children, the community works frantically to provide the house with minimal utilities. The story culminates with a last-minute intervention when it is discovered that Christmas lights which were hung by the deceased parents are still functional, which is enough for the skeptical Miss Parker to certify the house as habitable, thus allowing Martha to keep the children. In the end, Jack and Martha rekindle their romance, solidifying their bond and ensuring a brighter future for the Mc Murrin children.
